This boook was such a joy to read to my daughter. The re-telling of the prank Hermes played on Appolo is fun and easy for her to understand. The illustrations are wonderful as well. I have a feeling this will be one of our go-to books for storytime!
My 9 year old has been getting into mythology due to lightning thief, and so I got this book for my 3 younger kids to introduce them to mythology.
I didn't even think to share it with my 9 year old since he reads "chapter books", but he came up to me the other day and said "That Clever Little Hermes book on the table is a really cool story!".
High praise indeed for a critical 9-year old. )

Why I liked this book -First of all - I love this tale from mythology. It is one of my favorites, and I like that it has been re-told for a younger audience! I like that it teaches a bit of math (multiplication) using cows and the number of legs there are. The illustrations are beautiful and the characters are cute. The moral of the story, being responsible for your behavior, is very good and important for young people. D
